Navigating the job market can be a daunting process, Lightforth aims to simplify this process with its AI-powered tools for resume creation, auto-job applications, and interview preparation. In this interview, Gabriel I, the driving force behind Lightforth’s product development takes us through the journey of Lightforth’s products, how they are empowering job seekers and most importantly, the reason for their current rebranding.
Int: Hi Gabriel.
Gabriel: Hello, thank you for having me on the blog.
Int: How are you doing today?
Gabriel: I’m great, actually.
Please tell us about your role, and feel free to share one fun fact about you.
Gabriel: I am the Chief Operations Officer at Lightforth. There are many moving parts currently— the rebranding, the upcoming launch—and all that is exciting!
One fun fact about me would be that I take annual road trips across the country.
Int: Ah, great, the rebranding! Before we get to that, let's get to know more about Lightforth.
Gabriel: Alright. Lightforth was founded out of a passion for using technology to solve real-world problems. Our co-founders saw the challenges in the traditional job application and hiring processes from a candidate and employer perspective. I mean the time-consuming and often inefficient job application process.
So, with advancements in AI, we realized there was a unique opportunity to simplify this process, making it more efficient and effective. This led to the development of our suite of AI-powered tools designed to help job seekers create resumes, apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews more effectively while also providing businesses with tools for better hiring decisions.
What products are you developing to solve this product?
Gabriel: We have three main products
LightResume ,which helps to build and optimize resumes.
LightInterview, which helps to prepare for interviews with mock questions and answers.
LightAutoApply, which simply helps people apply to thousands of relevant jobs while they sleep or do any other important thing.
Our target audience includes job seekers (recent graduates, mid-career professionals, and senior executives) and businesses (SMEs, startups, and large enterprises looking for AI-driven hiring solutions).
Int: So why the rebrand?
Gabriel: Simply, we needed to make the brand more approachable and relatable. It felt a tad too corporate, and we wanted to introduce elements that feel more human, empathetic, and friendly.
This better aligns with our mission and values, appeals to a broader audience, and creates a more cohesive and modern brand experience.
Int: How would you describe your new brand identity?
Gabriel: Modern, innovative, and professional, focusing on AI-driven solutions that are easy to use and understand.
Our new colors are more vibrant– professional, yet relatable- thanks to our designer. We also brought on a storyteller to help improve and bring synergy to our storytelling efforts across board.
Before we wrap up, what would you say is unique about Lightforth’s products?
Gabriel: We offer an all-in-one platform that helps users create AI-driven resumes, automates the application process, and provides AI-powered interview preparation. Our focus is on a seamless, end-to-end experience.
Int: Thanks for your time
Gabriel: Thank you
